This composite bashplate has been designed to directly replace the stock underride protection and mounts in the same way as the original. The composite bashplate is more robust and has also been extended underneath to offer a lot more protection for your engine and engine cases. 
 
The construction uses carbon for strength, and kevlar triaxial for abrasion and puncture resistance. Additionally we have kept the form of the stock item right at the rear so it will not interfere with the standard  centre stand . The form differs slightly from stock in that there are no "undercuts"--this is for moulding purposes--gear lever clearance is fine if the lever is stock. We have deliberately NOT added vents--this is for protection and strength reasons. However, we will add heat relective film to the inner surface to avoid any exhaust pipe heat radiation issues--and so far tests over a few thousand miles have been fine.
The bashplate is then polished to a gloss finish.
As a direct replacement fitting is as standard-- and the standard grommets and screws are required , EXCEPT that for ease of assembly we provide longer socket headed cap screws for the front and underneath for ease of loose assembly. We recommend that the two side fixings are loose assembled first followed by the underneath, front, and finally the rear
